Banwy

2 Cottages - As both the rivers Vyrnwy and Banwy flow through Newbridge Farm, it is not surprising that this farm has built a solid reputation amongst anglers, who enjoy pursuing wild brown trout, grayling, chubb, and salmon in the season.

Now visitors can further enjoy this relatively undiscovered corner of rural Wales by staying in one of the newly built farm cottages, within just 200 yards of the rivers. Accommodating up to 6 people, the cottages are fully equipped, and enjoy fine views across the valley. Children (along with pets) are welcomed, and they will certainly enjoy watching the milking from the purpose-built viewing platform in the milking shed.

The riverside path from the farm brings you to Meifod, where there is a fine old inn and a stylish gallery and gift shop. Pontrobert and Dolanog are also nearby. Other places of interest include, Mathrafal Castle, Glyndwr's Way National Trail, Powis Castle, the Welshpool & Llanfair Steam Railway and many more.

2 Cottages - 1 Bungalow Cefncoedbach Farm is set in open countryside on a working farm with spectacular views.

This converted barn is comfortably furnished to a high standard with a lawned cottage garden near to the Brecon Beacons. Brecon Town is also just 4 miles away.

The peaceful surroundings make this a perfect base for hillwalking, exploring and relaxing.

This idyllic stone cottage is in a secluded and rural setting of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of "Red Kite" country. The cottage is extremely well appointed and tastefully decorated to WTB's 5 Star standard and stands in its own private grounds of 4 acres.

The area is the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains and beautiful Cothi Valley and is within easy reach (1/2 hour) of the Brecon Beacons and gorgeous beaches.

There are wonderful opportunities for walking and bird watching in the nearby hills, with unsurpassed views. National botanic gardens, fishing, golf and horse riding all close by.

Hedgeley

Well appointed large bungalow - village in picturesque Ithon Valley.

Suitable for able and less able, very comfortable base to return to after exploring beautiful mid Wales- rolling hills, woodland, lakes, rivers and wild country!

Within 100 metres either direction, start moorland, meadow or riverside walking. River Ithon winds through very beautiful contrasting scenery. Look in any direction for a wonderful view.

Nearby is the little church at Llananno with its elaborate cathedral-like carved screen.

The cottage is adjacent to Kilsby Country House and is on the edge of 2.5 acres of woodland and gardens. It is 1 mile from Llanwrtyd Wells, the smallest town in Britain, renowned for its Bog Snorkelling, Man v Horse race and Beer Festival.

Maids House

Self catering holiday accommodation for 4 in a peaceful rural setting of the edge of the Welsh Marches, situated midway between the market towns of Hay-o-Wye and Brecon. Good road access via the A470 and just an hour from the Severn Bridges. The accommodation is part of a Welsh smallholding with sheep, hens, geese and a horse providing interest to younger visitors. This is an ideal location fro relaxing in or exploring the glorious Welsh countryside; be it in the renowned Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and tourist attractions or local walks off the beaten track.

Indoor sports facilities at Brecon Leisure Centre, Llangorse Rope and Climbing Centre. The world famous book town of Hay-on-Wye is 10 miles away where an annual Literary Festival is held. Min - y - Llyn

Llangors village is surrounded by stunning views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains an ideal location for families or those interested in outdoor activities.

The cottage is only a 10 minute walk from Llangors Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales.

Fishing, sailing, canoeing, pony trekking, rope climbing is all available locally.

There is a bird hide on the edge of the lake and a Crannog Centre with historical and natural history of the area.

Superb views and walks from Mynydd Llangors to Bwlch/Black Mountains. Min - y - llyn is a pretty, stone fronted cottage with private garden for your enjoyment.

Orchard Cottage

Comfortable 17th Century stone cottage full of character set in a rural location on the borders of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Easy access to local attractions; Brecon 6 miles, Llangorse Lake 3 miles, Hay-on-Wye (town of books) 10 miles.

Spacious kitchen, downstairs cloakroom, beamed lounge with inglenook fireplace (not in use) with stone stairs leading to 2 bedrooms and bathroom.

Plenty to do and see locally including walking (many maps and leaflets provided), many different outdoor activities, gliding, leisure centre, farm parks, nature reserves and historic sites.

Penmarrick Lodge

Penmarrick Lodge is a newly built holiday cottage, specially designed to be light and bright, with warm wooden floors and a spacious conservatory. It will comfortably accommodate seven guests, and careful consideration has been given to visitors who require wheelchair access. The interior layout also allows those who have mobility problems to stay in touch with their companions at all times. The garden has been landscaped with paving and shrubs, and incorporates seating which overlooks the fishing lake.

Those staying in Penmarrick Lodge can enjoy splendid walks on the farm: a track leads to the highest point where you can enjoy superb views encompassing Meifod and the Vyrnwy Valley. There are excellent rambles around Meifod, where you will find shops, a handsome pub and Kathy Gittins Gallery.

The Fishing Lake is stocked with brown and rainbow trout, and is available for both cottage guests and visitors.

Rectory Cottage

This peaceful cottage is surrounded by pasture and gardens and has magnificent views over the Brecon Beacons. It is an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the National Park, the Welsh Marches, and Mid and West Wales.

Rectory Cottage was originally the servant's quarters and adjoins the victorian vicarage, built in the 1880's.

Brecon, which is three miles away, has two large supermarkets, cinema, a vibrant theatre with bistro, pubs, and Leisure Centre with swimming pool.

Regretably there is no wheelchair access.

The Bungalow

Trowley Farmhouse

This detatched farmhouse, which dates back to the 16th century, is surrounded by open countryside on our 400 acre working family farm, where you can enjoy extensive views of the Begwyn Hills and can see the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, along with woodland and wildlife.

Oak beams, thick stone walls and original bread oven in the large farmhouse kitchen retain much of the character of the original building, whilst every modern convenience is provided to make your stay comfortable whatever the season.

Vyrnwy

Ysgubor Fach

2 Cottages - These 2 adjoining cottages are in an idyllic peaceful location on an open hillside above the small village of Erwood. It is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the Brecon Beacons, Wye Valley and the Black Mountains all within easy reach. Walking, bird watching, canoeing, cycling, hang-gliding and pony-trekking are all available locally.

The front doors of the cottages open out directly onto the open hillside and at the rear, the cottages overlook the Wye Valley. Ysgubor Fach can sleep 6 (extra futon available in small annexe) and Ysgubor Fawr can sleep 5 (extra bed in the twin bedroom). Large parties are welcome to hire both cottages together.
