2 Cottages - As both the rivers Vyrnwy and Banwy flow through Newbridge Farm, it is not surprising that this farm has built a solid reputation amongst anglers, who enjoy pursuing wild brown trout, grayling, chubb, and salmon in the season.
Now visitors can further enjoy this relatively undiscovered corner of rural Wales by staying in one of the newly built farm cottages, within just 200 yards of the rivers. Accommodating up to 6 people, the cottages are fully equipped, and enjoy fine views across the valley. Children (along with pets) are welcomed, and they will certainly enjoy watching the milking from the purpose-built viewing platform in the milking shed.
The riverside path from the farm brings you to Meifod, where there is a fine old inn and a stylish gallery and gift shop. Pontrobert and Dolanog are also nearby. Other places of interest include, Mathrafal Castle, Glyndwr's Way National Trail, Powis Castle, the Welshpool & Llanfair Steam Railway and many more. |

It will comfortably accommodate seven guests, and careful consideration has been given to visitors who require wheelchair access. The interior layout also allows those who have mobility problems to stay in touch with their companions at all times. The garden has been landscaped with paving and shrubs, and incorporates seating which overlooks the fishing lake.
Those staying in Penmarrick Lodge can enjoy splendid walks on the farm: a track leads to the highest point where you can enjoy superb views encompassing Meifod and the Vyrnwy Valley. There are excellent rambles around Meifod, where you will find shops, a handsome pub and Kathy Gittins Gallery.
The Fishing Lake is stocked with brown and rainbow trout, and is available for both cottage guests and visitors. |

Brecon, which is three miles away, has two large supermarkets, cinema, a vibrant theatre with bistro, pubs, and Leisure Centre with swimming pool.

The front doors of the cottages open out directly onto the open hillside and at the rear, the cottages overlook the Wye Valley.
