Historic Chester is close by, plus many tourist attractions e.g. Chester Zoo, Ellesmere Canal Boat Museum, Jodrell Bank. The North Wales coastal towns are reachable in approximately 1 hour by car.

The area is ideal for walking with: the Macclesfield Canal and it's locks just up the road; the Manor Park and Lake; the Dane Valley; and the local hill called Bosley Cloud where there are views towards Buxton and the Peak District; Stoke on Trent and its famous Potteries; the Cheshire Plain to Beeston Castle and the Welsh Hills and to the north you can see Manchester.
The Coach House is a 2 double bedroomed barn conversion offering the modern comforts of under floor heating with the features of beamed ceilings and stone floors. The Shippon is a 2 bedroomed shippon conversion offering the modern comforts of underfloor heating and features oak beams and an open fire.
The local towns offer an insight into history with Macclesfield being a silk town and Buxton a Spa town. The area has a wealth of interesting houses to visit: Chatsworth House, Tatton Park with its Royal Horticultural Show (the country's answer to the Chelsea Flower Show).
