East Cumbria Cottages

Blandswath Cottage
This spacious cottage enjoys a tranquil position on the banks of the River Eden. It is situated within 100 acres of the owner's land, around which visitors are free to roam. It is an excellent base for walking the Eden Valley, the Pennine Hills and the Yorkshire Dales. Within the nearby area there is free fishing available on the river, a golf course and riding facilities.

Just two miles away is Kirkby Stephen which provides everyday shops and dining facilities. The old town of Sedbergh, with interesting shops and restaurants along its narrow cobbled streets, is also easily accessed along a very scenic route.

Falklands
"Falklands" is a 300 year old farmhouse, enjoying a peaceful and secluded location at the end of a country lane, in the Hamlet of Smardale.

Set in half an acre of carefully landscaped grounds, there are stunning views of Smardale Fell to the rear, and direct access to open country. The coast to coast pathway is less than a mile away, and there are numerous other paths and trails in the vicinty. This spot really does offer a wealth of walking, right from the front door.

Within 10 minutes drive is the pretty market town of Kirkby Stephen (shops, pubs, restaurants). A little further is Appleby. The Lake District is 45 mins away, the Howgills and Yorkshire Dales, much closer.


Fleshbeck Cottage
2 Cottages - The Old Stables is a tastefully converted 18th century barn, the ideal base for exploring the lakes and dales. Close to the quaint market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The Old Stables features a large lounge with log fire, exposed beams and balcony. Underfloor heating throughout.

Fleshbeck Cottage is situated next to The Old Stables and features exposed beams and a cosy lounge with old iron range. Situated in Oldtown 3 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale.


Folly
3 Cottages - Centrally located and surrounded by beautiful scenery it makes an ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy the numerous walks and wildlife in the immediate area. Converted to a good standard from the former hay barn and standing alongside the owners' home within twelve acres of woodland and farmland which is bordered by Scale Beck.

Retaining much of its original character, the cottages, have been well-equipped and tastefully furnished to provide charming and cosy accommodation. WITSEND - 1 6ft 4 poster double bed (sofa bed to sleep further 2 guests). FOLLY - 1 double, 1 single, bunks (suitable for children over 6 only). RUM'UN - 1 double, 1 twin.

The Oystercatcher is the end of terrace of three and is situated in the hamlet of Burrells, which is one and a half miles from Appleby, the former county town of Westmorland.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard with quality beds and Norwegian quilts. There are polished wooden floors with rugs.
