Local attractions include historic Gloucester, Berkeley Castle, Westonbirt Arboretum, wild fowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge. Close to Bath and Bristol. Golf locally.

An excellent location for touring the nearby places of interest and scenic beauty, there is also easy access to the towns and villages of the Cotswolds and the many historic houses and fine gardens.
The picturesque town of Stratford with famous theatre is just 12 miles, classic Cotswolds' town Chipping Campden is 4 miles and historic Warwick is 15 miles. |

The farmhouse and cottages are set in 8 acre of mature garden, paddocks and woodland from which you will have direct access to excellent walking, horse riding and cycling country, along with several golf clubs. We have many interesting pubs and restaurants nearby (the nearest only 400 yards away).
On the northern edge of The Royal Forest of Dean The Old Farm is close to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ross on Wye and the Wye Valley, with the Cotswolds and Hereford just a short journey. Bath, Stratford and Cardiff are about an hour away.

Nestling at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment above the Vale of Berkeley and the River Severn, Lance Cottage is a perfect base for touring the South West.
The Cotswold Way runs nearby, and there are many footpaths from your doorstep.
Ancient woodlands join the open Common by which Lance Cottage is situated. The cows that graze the Common in the summer are joined by deer, foxes and badgers. In May nightingales can be heard from the bedroom windows. Owls regularly hunt on the open Common, and skylarks, cuckoos and woodpeckers nest nearby. Rare flora are to be found a stones throw away.
There are many National Trust properties in the area as well as sleepy hamlets, antique shops, stately homes and crafts centres to explore.
Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Westonbirt Arboretum, Berkeley Castle, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Castle Coombe, Forest of Dean, Bath, Bristol all within 20 miles. |

Situated between the Severn Estuary and the beautiful Forest of Dean, Streamside has been described by our previous clients as comfortable and clean. We aim to provide a few little touches not always found in other properties. It is our holiday home too and we want you to feel at home in it.
The village of Blakeney has two pubs and an excellent, well stocked shop, together with a post office, hairdresser, church and doctors surgery plus a take-away.
From the rear bedroom window can be seen Blakeney Hill and from the top of the Hill there are magnificent views of the Severn Estuary and parts of Gloucestershire beyond.

Tennyson House is set in a 450 acre private country estate close to the Cotswold Water Park, in the South of the Cotswold region. The estate is fully managed and secure and includes a heated swimming pool and sauna, tennis court and childrens play area.
The estate includes 7 lakes and The River Thames. The rear deck of the cottage looks directly over the river and the garden extends down to the bank of Mill Lake. There are many lovely walks around the estate and the lakes - large area's are protected wildlife area's and undisturbed.
There is a lovely pub with retaurant within easy walking distance and the twon of Cirencester is approx 6 miles away. Carp, Coarse and trout fishing is available on the lakes with all the activities of the Cotswold Water Park nearby.

A two-story cottage originally built for the Northwest Gloucestershire Water Board about 100 years ago. This unique property has recently been converted to a high standard into a bijou dwelling for a couple of discerning holidaymakers.
The cottage features a natural timbered vaulted ceiling in the lounge and a restored Victorian spiral staircase leading down to the comfortable double bedroom.
There is ample off-road private parking with even room for your trailed boat or small caravan.
The Alum House is located just 50 yards from Thomas Telford’s iron bridge over the River Severn and is ideally placed for miles of riverside walks along both the Severn & Avon. Boat launching is nearby and we can even provide temporary moorings for a trailed boat if you wish. Well-placed as a centre for touring - the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills are less than half an hour away, as is the Spa town of CHELTENHAM renowned for its excellent shopping. STRATFORD, BROADWAY, BOURTON etc. are within a 25 mile radius.
It is but a short walk of about a quarter mile to the edge of Tewkesbury and the first of many pubs/restaurants; a further walk of similar length takes you to the centre of this historic town. The famous TEWKESBURY ABBEY is exactly one mile away. |
