Located on the banks of the River Wye within the historic cathedral city centre of Hereford, Castle Cliffe has been partially restored to provide luxury self-catering holiday accommodation for families and groups of up to six people.
Castle Cliffe has a private riverside garden, four-poster bed and open fires. The house is perfectly situated on Castle Green within two minutes walk of the Cathedral and town centre, enabling easy exploration of local attractions such as the Mappa Mundi and chained library exhibitions.
We are also close to the spectacular countryside of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, with Malvern, Ross-On-Wye, Hay-On-Wye and the historic ruins of Tintern Abbey all within easy striking distance.

Chapel Cottage is a late 17th century cottage constructed of traditional stone and timber throughout and still most of the original oak beams particularly in the lounge and kitchen.
It is situated in the picturesque village Fownhope, which is close to the river Wye, famous for Salmon fishing, with a Post Office and mini-supermarket, butcher, 2 pubs and GP Surgery/Pharmacy. The Cottage is comfortable and cosy accommodation with the added benefit of an outdoor heated swimming pool 20' by 12', which is open from 30th April - 30th October and set in the secluded private garden.
The Cottage is both charming and quaint with everything to enjoy a long or short holidays in the Herefordshire Countryside. |

Within the grounds are two separate and private stone-built cottages of great character, each within their own attractive gardens and looking out across a peaceful, wooded valley to farmland. Both cottages are furnished and equipped to a very high standard.
Gardeners' Cottage (WTB 4 star) sleeps up to 8. Cider Mill Cottage (WTB 5 star) sleeps up to 4. These properties can be linked by a garden gate to sleep 12.
Although How Caple is in the heart of the countryside it is exceptionally well placed on the edge of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Welsh Borders, to allow convenient access to many places of interest. Old Hill Cottage is 4 miles from Leominster, 9 miles from Ludlow, at the end of a narrow lane. It is very quiet and peaceful with views across farmland to the Black Mountains.
Visitors can enjoy five acres of meadow orchard and woodland with an abundance of wildlife. Nearby are many footpaths, the Mortimer Trail, Offa's Dyke, Norman castles, black and white villages and stately homes. Ideal also for cycling, fishing and horse riding.
The open plan ground floor of the house includes a woodburning stove and jacuzzi. A spiral staircase leads to two bedrooms, shower room and balcony. There are plenty of books, games and toys. Pets and children welcome. The owner will babysit. |

The house itself is heavily timbered and has been restored to the highest standard, thus ensuring total comfort during your holiday. Much of its furnishings are antique and open fire/woodburners complement the split-level lounge and dining room.
There are miles of walks straight from its 1/2 acre of gardens giving access to superb scenery (and local Inns!!)On site clay pigeon shooting is also available by arrangement too!
Finally, you will receive a very warm welcome from "Essy" the extremely friendly resident cat, who guests say has made there holiday truly complete. |
