Grade II Listed cottage set off the road at the end of a picturesque row of thatched cottages, Castaway itself is a delightful 300-year-old miner's cottage and is located in Goonbell just on the outskirts of the village. It has many traditional Cornish features such as thick cob walls, beamed ceilings and wooden floors, but has all the comforts of home. There is also a lovely, quiet and secluded Mediterranean-style garden. There is also a sundeck, which as well as providing a sheltered spot to relax in the sun, is also a great place to have a barbeque whilst watching the sunset over St Agnes beacon.
St Agnes is a thriving village on the North Coast of Cornwall and is very popular with visitors. It has several pubs and restaurants along with shops and art and craft galleries, all of which are within easy walking distance from Castaway Cottage. St Agnes also has three beaches, two of which are ideal for families (toilets and cafes close by), whilst Travellas beach is a short walk across the cliff top and is both totally unspoilt and very secluded. Porthtowan and Perranporth are a couple of miles either side of St Agnes and both superb surfing beaches.
For those who like walking there are miles of superb coastal footpaths as well as many woodland and valley walks. For the sporty, there are riding stables and tennis courts just a few minutes walk from the cottage, or why not have your first surfing lesson? |

Standing on its own in the ancient and beautiful Penwith landscape, Chy Barnett has sea views from all its main rooms. Inside the house, built in 1905, the original wood floors and wood panelling have been kept, together with the pretty tiled fireplaces.
The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with three double bedrooms and one single, dining room with multi fuel stove, sitting room, large kitchen and conservatory which provides breathtaking views of gorgeous sunsets. Night storage heating is included in the rent.
The garden is mostly hydrangea and membretia, but there is plenty of grass on which to set out the garden chairs and where children can play. About 300 yards along the track and scramble over fairly low rocks brings you to a lovely sandy cove with good swimming at low tide. |

The Cottage has been in the Honey family for over a hundred years. What is now Jim's room was once the sail loft where Jim Honey kept all his fishing gear. You can see his photograph in the lounge.
One of the beauties of Port Isaac is that it is perfectly place for touring. Set yourself up for the day with a pre-breakfast stroll down to the harbour where you might see the fishing boats setting out. After breakfast, you'll be heading for the coast path or the beach, either nearby Port Gaverne or, perhaps, Polzeath, (5 miles away) one of the finest, safest surfing beaches on the North Cornish coast. Famous for Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, Cafe and Bistro, there are also a number of other good quality restaurants and pubs to enjoy.
Just 3 miles away are the famous "seven bays for seven days", and the golf course at Trevose. You will also find excellent walking along the Saints Way and Coastal Path, not to mention off road cycling along the Camel Trail. Horse riding, tennis, water-skiing and sailing are also available near by.
For the adventurous, there are extreme sports at Watergate Bay, 20 minutes away, and for the younger members of the family we are 5 minutes from Crealy Adventure Park.

The Beach, general store, post office, Hairdressers and two family welcome pubs are all with in a five-minute walk away from the chalet. There are also two surf shops with lesson and hire facilities.
The city of Truro is a fifteen minute drive away, with the usual superstores, lovely beaches, art and craft shops and many more pubs and restaurants can be found in the neighbouring village of St Agnes, which is a couple of miles away.

These cottages were converted from an old coach house and are idyllically situated in the tranquil grounds of Stewarts House; the views are delightful over rolling hills towards Bude Bay - at night the lights of Bude and the bay can be seen in the distance.
Both cottages share a pretty Victorian walled garden facing east for the morning sun and to the west, a spacious patio equipped with chairs and tables for dining al fresco - a perfect place for the afternoon sun and enjoying barbecues.
The village of Week St Mary is a pleasant short stroll away; the vuillage square has a post office stores and ancient church; the Green Man public house with a lively programme of weekly music and good food welcomes children; and there is a children's playground with a tennis/basket ball court also locally.
There are beautiful beaches and coastline of Widemouth and Bude - famous for surfing - historic Launceston with its ancient castle and steam railway; King Arthur's Tintagel; Boscastle and the delightful Clovelly.

Stonechat a semi-detached beach cottage is situated in a quiet valley, 30 yards from the beach at Polzeath, ideally situated for surfing and other beach activity. Also nearby is golf, walking, sailing, fishing, all sorts, and a wealth of good quality attractions and historic houses and gardens.The Cottage is set in a lane just off Polzeath beach, leading to the medieval Shilla Mill. Beyond the mill there are footpaths to Trebetherick, Trevanger and Roserrow, where the golf course is.
On the opposite side of the valley are Shilla Mill Woods, ancient woodlands which are designated as being of outstanding local significance and which are referred to in several of Sir John Betjeman's poems.

It is very near the beaches - there is no need to get into your car - you just walk down sandy lane and thence onto the sandy beach. There is an adjoining rocky beach with rock pools and a good walk across the fields to Padstow. The National Trust Coastal Path passes through Trevone Bay.
The Cottage has been renovated with all the usual facilities, but retains its original cottage ambience with two open fires and gas central heating it is ideal for a winter break. There is a small area at the rear with rotary clothes line and bbq. |

Our 4 cottages and bungalows are individually sited in and around Boscastle; a picturesque village, set in a wooded valley, with 14th century cottages leading to the famous medieval harbour and spectacular S.W. coast path. Take a boat trip around Puffin Island, glimpse the seals, fish, paint, browse through the Witches Museum and craft centre, or simply relax.
Nearby are numerous sandy, surfing beaches. Other local attractions include Tintagel Castle, Bodmin Moor and St Juliot (Thomas Hardy's Church). The whole of Cornwall and Devon are also easily accessible, making this the ideal holiday base.

Budds Farmhouse and its barns are typical of North Cornwall with buildings of stone and cob under slate roofs, centred around a traditional yard.
It is no longer a working farm and the redundant farm buildings now are being sympathetically restored by local craftsmen and converted for use as holiday accommodation.
At Budds Barns you will find the peace and tranquility of North Cornwall's coastal hinterland, yet at the same time, be readily accessible to Bude.
Titson is just under 2 miles south of Marhamchurch, with excellent pub meals/restaurant, and 3 miles from Widemouth Bay. |

Willow Cottage is situated near Wadebridge in North Cornwall, approxiately 4 hours from London by car. It is beautifully furnished with a stone fireplace and wood burning stove in the lounge area. There are rear gardens and patio areas.
Local amenities include the Camel Trail for walking or cycling. There are many superb beaches such as Daymer, Polzeath, Trevone and Harlyn. Top golf courses at St Enodoc and Trevose with high quality restaurants (including the world renowned Seafood Restaurant at Padstow).
The Quarryman Inn, only 50m away, serves excellent cuisine, including food to your door!
With it's good road links, the cottage makes the perfect base to explore the other areas of Cornwall. |
