This detached bungalow is one of 12 and occupies an enviable position enjoying superb views. The bungalows are in a car free area, with private space just outside the enclosed grounds.

Welcombe makes an ideal touring centre for both Cornwall and Devon. Enjoy spectacular local coastal walks or explore the sandy bays, smugglers' coves, rocky pools and cliffs. Welcombe Mouth is just over a mile away and is clean and safe. When the tide is out it leaves wide sandy beaches.

The South West coastal path passes some of the most spectacular scenery in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Just a short stroll from the bungalow are Free Range Eggs, Herbs, Local Pottery and The Old Smithy thatched Inn offering good food, fine ales and welcoming atmosphere.

Refurbished to a good standard the bungalow offers its guests detached and comfortable accommodation within the quiet surroundings of a country club.

It is close to some of the finest beaches (Blue Flag) and coastal/country walks. The country club offers squash(3)/tennis courts(2)snooker, fitness room/classes and restaurant/bar facilities. Swimming pool with separate childrens pool nearby (5 mins)

Bungalow facilities are lounge/diningroom Kitchen two bedrooms -one double one twin, bathroom with shower w/c outside balcony with seating.

The Bungalow is in an elevated position and is not suitable for the infirm.

Ballards Retreat

Ballards Retreat is annexed to our house, all on the ground floor, comfortably furnished and recently redecorated. The apartment, and it's garden area has lovely estuary views towards Braunton and Saunton and is ideally placed to visit the many attractions that the area has to offer.

Amongst these is the Tarka Trail, which runs alongside the estuary, from Braunton to Bideford and then through the countryside towards Hatherleigh following the old railway line. Cycles can be hired for use along the path, which is very scenic and popular with walkers. Bideford, with nearby Atlantic Village, and Barnstaple are the main shopping areas, Barnstaple has won many prizes for it's beautiful floral dispalys. The Big Sheep, Dartington Crystal, The Milky Way and RHS Rosemoor Gardens, are all close by and well worth a visit.

Of our various sandy beaches Croyde beach is very popular for surfing, Saunton Sands and the Burrows. With it's huge dunes and Westward Ho! With it's pebbleridge are favourite sunbathing and swimming areas. Instow, nearest home, has another well-used family beach. There is a wealth of spectacular wildlife and scenery, which makes the area so beautiful, all within east travelling distance. If you enjoy walking, the possibilities are endless, Exmoor, many miles of coastal paths and country walks are all within easy reach.

Barley

Three beautiful stone built barn conversions with spectacular views across the valley and towards the sea.

Our cottages are set on the slopes of an ancient wooded valley in landscaped gardens within seven acres of lovely grounds including woodland and flower meadows.

Yapham enjoys complete tranquility set down our private half mile drive, yet it is perfect for visiting nearby tourist attractions, The Eden Project, Exmoor and Dartmoor.

The Hartland Peninsula is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breathtaking coastal scenery, wonderful cliff top walks and beautiful secluded beaches.

Barley Barn

Mead Barns (five cottages) are set in stunning countryside, close to beaches, on unspoilt coast. On your doorstep are secret coves, sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs: an area of outstanding natural beauty with wooded valleys, streams, waterfalls and flower-filled lanes.

The character barns have been converted to retain their charm and add home comforts. With sea and garden views, they vary in size from two to four bedrooms - some ensuite or with four poster beds. Facilities include games room with table tennis and pool table, tennis court, play area and pergola where you can enjoy a barbecue.

The cottages are in a peaceful location but convenient for many nearby attractions including the Big Sheep, Milky Way, Dartington Crystal and Rosemoor Gardens. They are ideal for Spring/Autumn walking and touring holidays. Maps and walk itineraries and body boards provided. Surfing instruction available (April to October). Special discounts for smaller parties and Romantic Retreat breaks, including flowers, chocolates and wine are available for couples.

These two semi-detached, self catering, cottages have been recently built to a high specification. We reside in the nearby 'Pink Heather' cottage and happily share our attractive terraced hillside gardens. The two acres of garden contain several fish ponds, woodland, a fast flowing stream, and a profusion of flowers. There are many quiet spots to picnic or contemplate!

The cottages are comfortable and attractively furnished to a very high standard throughout.
Berrynarbor is an ideal centre for exploring North Devon. It is one of Devons' prettiest villages and has been the winner and runner up of "Devon's Best Kept Village" on a number of occasions. There is a village post office/stores, church, tea room and delightful 14th century pub. Berrynarbor is in a good location for walking, sea-fishing, bird-watching, horse riding and of course, relaxing!!

The busy seaside town of Ilfracombe is just 4miles away and has the nearest indoor swimming pools, theatre and cinema. For the more serious shoppers, there is Barnstaple and Bideford.

Cobwebs

Cobwebs is a well appointed and furnished stone barn conversion set in a wooded valley on the edge of the award winning village of Berrynarbor in north Devon, just ten minutes walk from the nearest pub, which is open lunch times and evenings for meals and drinks.

Ideally situated for exploring north Devon's spectacular coastline or the beaches of Woolacombe and Saunton or the popular Tarka Trail cycle path.

Other nearby attractions include National Trust gardens, fishing, riding and for the more adventurous, quad biking. The island of Lundy, with it's abundance of wildlife, can be reached by taking the ferry from nearby Ilfracombe.

Great Tythe Barn

Heale Cottage

Heale Cottage, is situated in a wooded valley near Bideford. An ideal holiday base at any time of the year, the cottage is well situated for all Devon's many attractions including striking scenery, interesting towns and picturesque villages. The north coast provides a number of popular seaside resorts including Westward Ho!, the outstandingly beautiful Clovelly, Ilfracombe and Bude. The Exmoor National Park is ideal for walkers with its Tarka Trail which runs for 180 miles. There is wildlife in abundance including red deer and otters, and from Bideford itself you can catch a boat to the National Marine Nature Reserve of Lundy Island. Here you can watch puffins and razorbills as well as grey seals.

The cottage is within easy reach of restaurants and several pubs of character.

Hollacombe Farm Caravan

Welcombe is easily accessible from the A39 between Hartland and Kilkhampton close to the Cornish border, many of the tourist attractions in the area, including local beauty spots, ideal for children and adults alike, yet remaining a quiet and unspoilt part of Devon.

Being the only caravan on the farm, it is situated in a secluded spot behind the hay barn with its own garden area and far reaching views over farmland to Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the sea.

Welcombe Mouth, some 2 miles, is a small cove with rugged rocks, cliffs and good surfing, having a sandy beach at low tide and safe bathing. For the more energetic, the cliff walks offer the breath-taking scenery of the North Devon coastline.

Welcombe Post Office and General Store caters for day to day needs, whilst Kilkhampton, a small Cornish village, is 4 miles providing greater shopping choice. Welcombe Cross Restaurant is within easy walking distance.

Kingsclose

West Down is a small village 3 miles inland from the coast near the famous sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde. Glorious coastal walks are within 3 miles and Exmoor is not far. Barnstaple is only 9 miles away, and is a busy market town with lots of history.

The village is complete with its own pub and excellent village shop within 100 yards of the cottage which is terraced and overlooks the Village Square, Kingsclose was the owners second home until they headed west to the Old Vicarage approximately 100 yards away. They make their outdoor heated pool
available from June until September. The cottage is modernised and equipped
to a high standard and has full central heating.

Lynhurst

Lynhurst is an elegant late Victorian country house with great character arranged on four floors. The house is totally hidden in a large area of gardens and natural woodland yet just a whisper away from Lynton and Lynmouth.

It is a perfect retreat for those seeking peace and solitude, although secluded, it is only a short stroll to all the area's attractions - such as the famous "Cliff Railway" which takes you to the picturesque harbour of Lynmouth, the Valley of the Rocks' and the beautiful waterfalls of Watersmeet. There are many pubs, restaurants and shops a few minutes walk away and a secluded sandy beach in Lynmouth.

Mews Cottage

These delightful cottages combine charm and character with modern comfort. Converted former barn and stables. Peacefully set in the thatched coastal village of Croyde. Just 10 minutes level walk from the centre of a superb sandy beach.

Croyde has many good places to eat including 3 character Inns. A delight for surfing, golf, horseriding plus swimming pool with flumes, south west coastal footpath, and 3 wonderful beaches all backed by unspoilt headlands, within 1.5 miles of the cottages.

Exmoor National Parks, its sleeply wooded coastline and various family attractions, a short drive away.

Waterloo House

Waterloo House is a large Georgian Townhouse within an ideal location close to the town centre, quayside an park.

The property is ideally located for exploring North Devon and North Cornwall or stay local for the beaches at Westward Ho and Instow and delightful villages such as Clovelly and Appledore.

This Grade II Listed townhouse is arranged over three floors with plenty of space for larger groups.

There is a large secluded walled garden with patio area to the rear, steps lead up to a sun-terrace to the kitchen.

There is parking outside with visitors permits and pay and display.

On the ground floor there is a large games room with table tennis and dance floor, laundry room, cloakroom with w.c and a double bedroom. The entrance hall leads to the rear garden.

The first floor has two sitting rooms and a dining room with access onto the front balcony overlooking the bowling green. There is a good sized kitchen with sun-terrace and a serving hatch to the dining room. A large bathroom with shower, bath, bidet, w.c.

The second floor has five large bedrooms arranged as three doubles and two twin beds, with vanitory units in some rooms.

A cot is available.

Gas fired central heating serves the property as well as a log burner in the sitting room and gas fire in the dining room.

Welcombe Barton

Welcombe Barton is a fine example of a medieval farmhouse located in the rural parish of Welcombe with its ancient church, thatched pub, village hall, pottery and shop. This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has one of the most breathtaking stretches of the South West Coast Path is just a few minutes drive away, as is the little beach of Welcombe Mouth. An ideal spot for walking or just getting away from it all.

The farmhouse which is owned by an educational charity is only available for Christmas and New Year and again for two weeks in August.
