If you go on a Sunday parking is cheap and plentiful, the department stores are open and Sunday lunch at Derrys will only set you back £5.25
Your holiday house is detached, four bedrooms (master ensuite) with one shower and w.c all on the ground floor. Upstairs is a spacious lounge with sofa seating for eight, TV and DVD player. A verandah overlooks the the furnished patio area. The kitchen/diner is large with electric cooker, microwave, toaster etc. Hot water is by immersion heater, and heating if necessary is provided by electric convector heaters.
There is an excellent, reasonably priced bar and restaurant on site, or try the numerous pubs with dining facilities in the area. |

The cottage is comfortably furnished and well equipped. The sleeping arrangements are two 3ft beds in one room and two 2ft 6ins beds in the other, both sets can be linked to form doubles. Outside is an attractive enclosed cottage style garden.
St Tudy offers a post office and store, pub, a 300 year old church and children's playing field. It is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Cornwall and Dartmoor. The property backs onto the picturesque Dunmere woods, with its lovely river walks, and the Camel Trail, a 17 mile long cycle-way which follows the river Camel from Bodmin Moor to the estuary mouth at Padstow.
Situated in central Cornwall, it makes an ideal base for exploring the county. For sun-bathing, surfing and sailing, the string of white sand beaches along the rugged north coast are a must: Polzeath, Padstow, Rock, Trevone and Constantine etc 10-15 miles away. Travel the same distance in the opposite direction and you find the quaint fishing ports of the gentle south coast: Fowey, Looe, Polperro, Polruan and Mevagissey are all within easy striking distance.

Okel Tor is acknowledged by English Heritage to be one of the best surviving 19th century tin mines nationally and has recently been added to the list of scheduled ancient monuments.
The Count House is the former mine captain's office (Grade II listed), enjoying an elevated position within approximately 16 acres of natural woodland and lowland heath on the banks of the River Tamar with beautiful views of Devon. There are a number of interesting ruins and an abundance of flora and fauna.
Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay are just a short drive away. The National Trusts enchanting Cotehele House is within walking distance and the Tamar Valley Discovery Trail actually passes through Okel Tor.
