For those who like to stay in town, a walk to Bracklinn Falls or up Callander Crags is a must, or see history in the Rob Roy Visitor Centre, relax in the local woollen mills, or browse through the many craft shops and potteries.
Callander offers a number of pursuits for visitors, inducing fishing on Rivers Teith & Leny and on many local lochs, golfing on the town’s scenic 18-hole course, hill walking, cycling and bowling.

The town has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, a leisure complex, PGA golf course and an outdoor bowling club, with membership for Ardnandave guests.

This is the real Loch Lomond where traditional hospitality and the gentler pursuits of life still count. Loch Lomond is the largest and one of the loveliest lochs in Scotland. About 23 miles long, it has many small islands of which Inchmurrin is the largest at about one and a half miles long. It is idyllic and quiet. The total number of residents on the island are: 10 people, one horse, one dog, a herd of 30 beef cattle, a few goats and quite a lot of pheasants!
Inchmurrin is named after St Mirren who is believed to have founded a monastery on the island in the 6th century. The ruins can still be seen, as also can the ruins of the castle built by the Earls of Lennox. It was visited by Robert the Bruce, James IV in 1506, 21 year old Mary Queen of Scots in 1563, and later by James VI. When you come to stay on Inchmurrin Island you have the freedom to roam and explore. There are many lovely walks, and safe beaches for swimming.

Hawes Cottage has recently been renovated to provide comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 4/5 people. It has a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom in which a fifth bed can be erected.
We can also provide a cot if necessary. There is a living room with a dining area, beautifully heated by a log fire. The cottage has satellite TV, cd player, a few board games and books about the surrounding area for use of guests. The kitchen is well equipped with a conventional oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
We provide bed linen, towels, toilet paper and all basic cleaning material. The property has child-safe garden, a double swing and private parking. |

"The annexe" is a newly converted, modern and comfortable building near the centre of the charming village of Drymen.
This is an ideal base to explore the beautiful area of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. It is also convenient to visit historic Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
"The annexe" consists of two bedrooms, one modern shower room, and an upstairs open plan living and dining area with wonderful views.
The main bedroom has one King size double bed. The second bedroom has a Queen size double bed below a single bunk. Fold away "z" beds are available to allow sleeping in the living area if required. Both bedrooms have their own sink and the shower room is across the corridor.
Drymen has all the sporting and leisure facilities you could wish for. There is a swimming pool and gym facilities at a hotel within 50 metres, plus bike hire on site, golf courses, horse riding, restaurants and all the water sports associated with Loch Lomond.

This sunny house is situated off the road at the head of a sheltered bay looking out towards the north end of Iona. Wild flowers, oyster catchers, eider duck, cormorants and other sea birds, seals, silver sand beaches and shells abound.
Boat trips to Iona, Staffa and the Treshnish Isles are available, as are fishing, bathing, walking, touring, wonderful views, sunsets and simply lazing about.
The varied landscape is formed by the underlying geology and Iona Marble, Lewisian Gneiss, Basalt and Schist are all found within 5 miles of the house which is built from local red granite.
Comfortably furnished and sleeping six in two bedrooms, the Long House is ideal for a family holiday or for two couples with up to two children. |

Thorntree is situated in the hills above Flanders Moss, midway between Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling, on the southern edge of the Highlands.
The owners have converted one wing of this farmhouse to make spacious and comfortable accommodation. The french windows open onto Thorntree Barn's own gardens with roses, lawns, flower beds and shrubs with wonderful views over the Carse of Stirling.
Local attractions include Stirling and Doune Castles and the Lake of Mentieth which are only 15 minutes away. Edinburgh is about an hour away and Glasgow 45 minutes. The owners are always happy to give advice about what to do in the area.
