This spacious and luxurious house stands alone in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with exceptional views of the Lake District fells. For those of your who like a challenge, Esk View is just a 3 mile walk from the Scafell range (England's highest mountain). Alternatively, you may prefer to explore the natural grassland, woodlands and fields that surround Esk View, or play in the river close by. Whatever you choose to do, you can be sure that there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen.
Although it was built in 1898, we extensively modernised this family home in 1996 while retaining the Victorian charm apparent in its mahogany staircase, marble fireplaces, kitchen flagstones and exposed beams. Esk View is just a 10 min walk from the village of Boot which boasts a Post Office, small shop, hotel and 2 pubs. It is also 10 mins from Dalegarth station, the terminal of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway.

Eskmeals House is a charming Georgian residence dating back to 1761 set in it's own grounds with walled garden and woodland. It is approached down a short lane through woodland.
The House has accommodation for 21 people in 9 bedrooms and is suitable for large families or smaller families wishing to enjoy the space and ambience of a large, Gentleman's residence.
Eskmeals is near to Ravenglass, a beach with sand dunes and estuary leading to the wonderful Eskdale Valley, Wastwater (England's deepest lake) and Scafell (England's highest mountain).
Places of interest include: Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, Muncaster Mill, the Eskdale Valley and Wasdale.

No3 Randle How is an 18th Century Cottage situated in Eskdale Green in the heart of the Esk valley.
Eskdale is a beautiful unspoilt valley on the western side of the Lake District National Park. The river Esk runs down the valley, starting among the highest mountains in England and ending in Ravenglass on the coast. At the top of the valley are Hard Knot Roman Fort and the road over to Ambleside. Train and river run down to the small village of Eskdale Green and on to Ravenglass on the coast. Near to Ravenglass is Muncaster Castle with its famous gardens and Owl Centre. The Valley also has five excellent pubs with Real Ale and good food.
The Cottage is in a quiet part of the village and is an excellent base for walking, touring or a quiet relaxing rest throughout the year. It has Modern facilities while maintaining its traditional Style. |

Routen House offers gracious self catering holiday accommodation for up to twelve people. Originally a Victorian Country Farmhouse, it stands proudly by Ennerdale Water, one of the most spectacular and secluded lakes in the Lake District, Cumbria. The house itself has four acres of it's own land with pastures stretching down towards the lake. In the garden there is a feeling of peace with panoramic views of the high fells and the lake. The separate paddock has a bubbling stream that commences its journey in the mountains and finally into the lake.
Built more than 150 years ago, Routen House has been extensively refurbished and redecorated over the past few years. Spacious and sleeping 12 (plus cot) it is ideal for large family gatherings or for parties of walkers and friends.
The unspoiled, tranquil valley of Ennderdale is an ideal starting point for hundreds of walks - from gentle lakeside strolls to energetic mountain hikes (the views of Ennerdale and Buttermere lakes from the high fells are a stunning reward); rock climbing (a good base from which to approach Pillar); mountain biking in Ennerdale forest and fishing in the lake (permit required); pony trekking and quad-biking (available nearby).

West Croft Cottages can be found in the unspoilt Cumbrian Village of Brigham, just outside the Lake District National Park 2 miles from the market town of Cockermouth.
It is an ideal base from which to explore the quieter lakes and mountains of The National Park, and take in the attractions of the increaingly popular Solway Coast and West Cumbria coastal towns and villages.
We have three cottages for you to choose from. All the the cottages form one side of an attractive secluded courtyard set well back from the village road.
Each cottage has its own potio area with tables, chairs and barbeque in the courtyard and the use of a traditional games room with full size snooker table, table football and family games. The village has a children's park and playing field, a pub with restaurant, a general store and Post Office, an art gallery and course fishing lakes.
The cottages are let on an individual basis, but as they are all next to each other, they are extremely suitable for larger groups of family and friends to holiday together. |

The "Owl Barn" is a newly converted two-person holiday let at Hawes Farm, which is no longer a working farm. It is set in quiet countryside, in a hollow with a small stream and no neighbours.
The farm stands on it's own, along a no-through road. It is peaceful and there are walks from the door. We have a lockable dry storage for bikes and off road parking.
The Owl Barn is well equipped and features a large comfortable living area with wooden beams, views of the fells and a wood-burning stove.
Ennerdale Lake is five minutes by car or half an hour by footpath. The North West is the quieter part of The Lake District.
